Xccessors Xccessors is a JavaScript shim that implements __defineGetter__, __defineSetter__, __lookupGetter__, and __lookupSetter__ in IE8. Note: In RC1 it only works on objects that are instances of Element (and it’s sub-classes) or Window. Hopefully, in the final release of IE8, accessors are supported on normal objects and this script is future-proof in case that is eventually implemented.
